Originally an ad for the 1943 Vuelta Ciclista a Cataluna, one of the oldest races in Europe. The Cataluna was even contested during both world wars. Held in Spain, the Cataluna is still held annually almost a century after the first race in 1911. This poster, like all the other reproductions we are offering from the Horton Collection, is particularly large and printed on a heavy, textured, non gloss stock to give it an authentic look.
